Additional Info: This was posted at 9am Tuesday the 7th of September. The alpine rain of yesterday has moved on and there is nothing on the horizon for the next week. The damaged Waimakariri stopbanks below SH1 have been initially assessed as adequate to cope with floods up to a 10 year return period.
