Community Resilience Unit
The Community Resilience Unit is focused on identifying the council’s future role in building community resilience in the event of emergency. The unit is developing possible future directions for the role of Environment Canterbury in building resilience. Staff in the unit include the Educators for Sustainability and the Civil Defence Emergency Management Communications Advisor. The focus of this work is on the contribution that households, schools and businesses can play in community resilience.
